Opheltes

 

Opheltes was the son of the Nemean king Lycurgus and his wife Eurydice. When he was still an infant he was killed by a snake.

This image of Opheltes and Hypsipyle is found on a sarcophagus from the 2nd century in the collection of the Archaeological Museum in Corinth.
