Hou Ji

by Micha F. Lindemans
The Chinese god of Millet. Similar to other elements in the Imperial Cults he is the subject of much controversy. It is unclear whether his name should be translated as "Prince Millet" or "He Who Rules Millet". His ceremonies where part of the imperial and at times part of the aristocratic cults.
