Narada is the son of Brahma, a brahmarshi (the highest status for a saint/rishi in Indian mythology) and the favorite of Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh, all the devas and all noble people (including humans). He is one of the greatest scholars in Indian mythology. He also has a Purana (Narada Purana) named after him.
