Psezpolnica

by Micha F. Lindemans
'Lady Midday' in Wendic (Serbian) folktale. She appears around midday during harvest time when the day is at its hottest. Psezpolnica is said to drive people crazy, weaken their limbs, and even cut off their heads with a sickle. She is portrayed as a woman with black hair, but sometimes as a whirlwind.

Her Polish counterpart is Poludnica.
