Usiququmadevu

In Zulu beliefs, a monstrous deity, bearded and humpbacked, who devours children. One day she came upon the children of a local chief. They were unguarded and Usiququmadevu quickly swallowed them. When the chief discovered that his children were missing he set out to look for Usiququmadevu. He soon found Usiququmadevu and killed her by stabbing her in her hump, and the children emerged from her mouth unscathed.

She had a husband with the same name.
