Most of the images in this encyclopedia came from Dr. Vollmer's Wörterbuch der Mythologie aller Völker, Stuttgart, Germany: Hoffmann'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung. It was published in 1874. Other images came from Les Dieux Antiques, nouvelle mythologie illustrée by Stephane Mallarmé (Paris, 1880). The remainder of the images are used with the consent of their respective owners (such as JBL Statues and Medea) or came from various old sources.

The images can be accessed through the various articles, or from the Image gallery.
