   James the Greater or James the Elder, son of Zebedee and brother of John. He was a fisherman of Galilee.

   The son of Alphaeus, or Cleopas, 'the brother' or near kinsman or cousin of Jesus, called James 'the Less,' or 'the Little.'

   The cousin of Jesus, and identical with James the Less. He was a resident at Jerusalem and author of the Epistle of James.
