Chahnameed

by Gerald Musinsky

Chahnameed, also known as the Glutton or "great eater," cannot keep a wife because he is away too often and too long in order to satisfy his own voracious appetite. His wife plans to escape the island and makes numerous dolls which she places throughout the house. When he returns he finds that his wife is gone and that the house is filled with dolls who scream at him behind his back. Chahnameed rushes outside and sees his wife paddling toward the mainland. He pursues her but she slays him with a long hair plucked from her head used like a spear.
