Alcon

A son of Hippocoon, and one of the hunters present at the Calydonian Hunt. He and his brothers helped their father expel Icarius and Tyndareus from Lacedaemon. Heracles afterwards killed them and restored the kingdom to Tyndareus. According to others, the enmity of Heracles towards the family of Hippocoon is because the latter refused to cleanse him for the death of Iphitus.

A heroum was situated at Sparta, next to a sanctuary of Poseidon.
