Eber

"Beyond." The son of Salah, and the third post-diluvian patriarch after Shem,1 his great-grandfather. Eber is regarded as the founder of the Hebrew race.2 His sons are Peleg and Joktan.3 In the Hebrew Bible4 his age is given as 464 years.

In Luke 3:35 he is called Heber.
