Imðr

"Ogress." In Völuspá hin skamma, or Völuspá the Less, Imðr is one of nine giant maidens who bore a mighty son, possible Heimdallr. She is listed among the troll-wives in the Nafnaþulur.

In the flyting contest in Helgakviða Hundingsbana I, Guðmundr accuses Helgi's half-brother Sinfjötli of once having acted the part of Imðr's daughter. It is unclear who this Imðr is.
