Libya

The daughter of Epaphus and Memphis, or, according to Hyginus,1 of Epaphus and Cassiopeia. She was loved by Poseidon and is by him the mother of Agenor, Belus, and Lelex.

She gave her name to that part of the world which was called Libya, in antiquity the name for Africa.
