Metioche

One of the two daughters of Orion. The goddess Aphrodite endowed Metioche and her sister Menippe with great beauty, and both sisters equaled Athena in the womanly crafts. When a plague struck the whole of Aonia they sacrificed themselves to avert it, and were rewarded for their selfless act with a place among the stars.

Metioche and Menippe are also known as the Coronides.
