Phaethon

"Shining." A son of Cephalus and Eos, was carried off by Aphrodite, who appointed him guardian of her temple. Apollodorus1 calls him a son of Tithonus, and grandson of Cephalus, and Pausanias2 a son of Cephalus and Hemera.
