Son of Platter-pool

A frightful bugbear who "looks in at windows, flattens his face against the panes, sharpens his teeth with much noise, and takes away children in a twinkling, unless they keep quiet." He cannot enter a house unless called in, but the threat of doing so is usually enough to silence the most unruly child.

His full title is "The Son of Platter-pool from grey spike, silken spike, great caterpillar" (MacGlumag na mias, o liath tarrang shìoda, burrach mòr).
