Vindsvalr
"Wind-chill." Or Vindljóni ("Wind-man"), the father of Vetr, winter personified, according to Vafþrúðnismál. In Gylfaginning, Snorri Sturluson adds that he is the son of Vásaðr, and that these were kinsmen grim and chilly-breasted, and Winter has their temper.
A kenning for winter is Vindsvalr's Son.
Vindsvalr is found in the Nafnaþulur as the name of a jötunn.
