Yohani bat Retivi

Contributed by Rabbi Geoffrey W. Dennis

A Talmudic witch. She tormented women in childbirth by shutting their wombs using acts of sympathetic magic, only to come to them in their distress and reap rewards for alleviating the condition she herself created. She was exposed when a man in her home unwittingly unstopped an enchanted bottle, releasing the victim.
