Biasd na Srogaig

"Beast of the lowering horn." A mythical animal peculiar to the Isle of Skye. It dwelt in lochs and had a single horn on its forehead. Its legs were said to be very long and it was rather clumsy.

Its principle use seems to have been to keep children quiet.
