Bláin

"Corpse-blue?" The name of a jötunn, but more probably an alternate name for Ymir, if the identification of Ymir with Brimir is allowed. According to Völuspa, the race of dwarfs was created from his legs:

Then sought the gods

their assembly-seats,

The holy ones,

and council held,

To find who should raise

the race of dwarfs

Out of Brimir's blood

and the legs of Bláin.
