Blóðughófi

"Bloody hoof." The name of the horse owned by the Slayer of Beli, i.e. Freyr. The animal is mentioned in a verse from the fragmentary poem Kálfsvísa, and quoted by Snorri Sturluson in Skáldskaparmál.

The name also appears in a list of horses enumerated in the Rhymes of Þorgrímr:

Blódughófi hight a horse

That they said beareth

The strength-eminent Atridi;
