Comaetho

The daughter of Pterelaus, ruler of the Taphians. Amphitryon ravaged the islands, but as long as Pterelaus lived, he could not take Taphos. Comaetho, who was in love with Amphitryon, pulled out the golden hair from her father's head, which was the source of his power and immortality, and he died. Amphitryon subjugated all the islands, but he was disgusted by her betrayal and killed her. Cp. Scylla.
