Pterelaus

The king of the Taphians and Teleboans, the son of Taphius. He was the father of Chromius, Tyrannus, Antiochus, Chersidamas, Mestor, and Everes, and a daughter, Comaetho. The latter was in love with Amphitryon while he was at war with her people. To secure his victory she cut off — or pulled out — Pterelaus' golden hair, the source of his strength and immortality bestowed on him by Poseidon.

After his death Amphitryon subjugated all the islands, and when he left he gave the islands to Heleus and Cephalus; and they founded cities named after themselves and dwelt in them.
