A Hungarian demon. Nowadays, the only the name survives. It appears in various Hungarian expressions, such as A fene vigyen el! ("May the fene take you!") and Egye meg a fene! ("Fene eat you!") which are simple oaths with no religious meaning. The word also means a place where demonic beings roam.
