Gout Well

The Gout Well of Larg was a sanative well which reputedly cured gout. A story tells of a piper who once stole away an offering of money left at the well, and spent it on ale. But as he drank his last drop, he was seized with the gout, which never left him till he refunded the cash to the spirit of the well.
