The supreme being of New Ireland. Hintubuhet is an androgynous being, and is invoked by both parties in a marriage as the progenitor of their own sex. In one aspect Hintubuhet is equated with the female moon and the female butterfly Heba, and in the other aspect with the male sun and the male butterfly Talmago.
