Hjördís

The daughter of king Eylimi, and sister of Grípir. She was the wife of Sigmundr and by him the mother of Sigurðr. Her father and husband were killed in a battle with the sons of Hunding. She later married Álf, the son of king Hjálprek, and there Sigurðr grew up in his boyhood.
