Ífingr
The river that separates Ásgarðr from Jötunheimr, according to Gagnráðr in Vafþrúðnismál:
- Ifing the stream is called
- which earth divides between
- the Jötuns and the Gods:
- open shall it run
- throughout all time.
- On that stream no ice shall be.
The stream never freezes, so that the jötnar cannot cross it. There is no other reference to this particular river.
