Inuus

"He who makes fruitful." Another name for Lupercus and Faunus as the promoters of the fertility among cattle. Livy writes that Inuus is the Roman name for the Lycaean Pan. In his honor Evander established a yearly rite, derived from Attica, in which youths should run naked about in playful sport.
