Menoetes

An underworld spirit, the son of Ceuthonymus, who herded the cattle of Hades on the island of Erytheia. He challenged Heracles to a wrestling match, and, being seized round the middle, had his ribs broken, but he was let off at the request of Persephone. He has been identified with the giants Geryon and Antaeus.
