Midea

A nymph, by Poseidon the mother of Aspledon. The town of Mideia in Boeotia was named after her (it was later renamed to Lebadeia by Lebadus). This view is confirmed by some verses composed by Chersias of Orchemenus:

"To Poseidon and glorious Mideia
Was born Aspledon in the spacious city."
