Móði

"Angry." A son of Thor, according to Vafþrúðnismál and Hymiskviða. The giant Vafþrúðnir foretells that Thor's sons Móði and Magni shall possess Thor's hammer Mjöllnir after his death, and shall strive to end warfare.

Móði does not appear to play a role in the extant mythology. His mother is not mentioned in the poems, but this is presumably the giantess Járnsaxa.

A kenning for Thor is Father of Móði.
