Perimele
The daughter of Hippodamas. She was loved by the river god Achelous. Her father, after he learned that the god had taken her virginity, threw his daughter off a cliff into the Ionian Sea, but Achelous caught her. The god called upon Poseidon to aid her and grant her a place where she would be save from her father's wrath.
Poseidon turned her into an island, one of the Echinades, which is somewhat secluded from the rest of the group.
