Pierlala

A character whose escapades and pranks are the subject of the Flemish ballad Pierlala, probably seventeenth century. At the end of the ballad he repents and offers a moral for the audience. Pierlala is comparable to German hero Till Eulenspiegel of the sixteenth century.
