puck

A household spirit of English folklore. The mischievous puck is closely related to the Irish púca and the Welsh pwca.

In Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream, puck is the same as Robin Goodfellow. With his flute, made from a willow twig, he accompanies fairies on their moonlight dances.
