Skinfaxi

"Shining-mane." The horse which pulls the chariot of Dagr, and whose manes shine like flames, illuminating the sky and the earth. He is attested in the eddic poem Vafþrúðnismál:

Skinfaxi he is named,

that the bright day draws

forth over human kind.

Of coursers he is best accounted

among the Reid-goths.

Ever sheds light that horse' s mane.
