Şüräle

A forest demon in Tatar folklore who kills his victims by luring them into a thicket and tickling them to death with his long fingers. He is said to have a woolly body and to have a long horn on his forehead.

The poet Ğabdulla Tuqay wrote in 1907 a poem called Şüräle, which subsequently became one of the most popular poems in Tatar literature.
