Svásuðr

"Delightful." According to Vafþrúðnismál, the father of Sumarr, summer personified. Snorri Sturluson adds that he is of pleasant nature, so that from his name whatsoever is pleasant is called 'sweet.' A kenning for summer is Son of Svásuðr.

In the Nafnaþulur section of Skáldskaparmál, Svásuðr appears in the list of jötnar.
