A surname of Artemis in her relation to wild animals. She was one of the principal deities of the Amazons. She had a temple under this name at Amphipolis. Her festival was the Tauropolia (Ταυροπόλια).
Her head frequently appears on the coins of the city. One silver coin shows her riding on a prancing bull, and carrying a torch in either hand.
