Alaeus

I.e. of wandering, a surname of Apollo at Crimissa, Italy. Upon his return from Troy, Philoctetes settled in Italy and built Petelia and Crimisa, and in the latter place founded the sanctuary of Apollo Alaeus, to whom he dedicated his bow.
