Ao-roa

A storm god — of massy clouds. He and his siblings were brought forth by Tāwhiri-mā-tea to punish his brothers, who had rent apart their parents, Rangi and Papa.

In one genealogy,1 Ao-nui is one of the Powers of the Heavens, a descendant of Toko-roto. He is the son of Ao-nui and father of Ao-tara.
