Automate

One of the fifty Danaides, a daughter of Danaus and Europa. According to Apollodorus1 and others, she killed Busiris, who was betrothed to her; whereas, according to Pausanias,2 she was married to Architeles, the son of Achaeus, who emigrated from Phthiotis in Thessaly to Argos with Archander.
