Helicon

A mountain in the region Thespiai, Boeotia, and sacred to the Muses. It was the location of the fountains Aganippe and Hippocrene, which were connected by the "Helicon's harmonious stream," as well as a temple which contained statues of the Muses. The name is used allusively of poetic inspiration.
