Kakana-tahi

"Only red." The twin of Uru-tahi, who were messengers. She was sent inland for food and her sister was sent elsewhere for food. Having found it, they stayed to eat it, and did not come back. Kakana-tahi was the mother or tutelary goddess of the maka (mangaa, barracouta).
