Methuselah

"Man of the dart/spear." The son of Enoch, and grandfather of Noah. He begot Lamech when he was 782 years, and then other sons and daughters. Methuselah is the oldest man mentioned in the Bible, said to have died at the age of 969 years, in the year of the Flood.

The expression "old as Methuselah" is used to refer to a very old person. A methuselah is a wine bottle that is eight times the standard size (6 litres).
