Molpadia

"Divine song." A princess of the island of Naxos. She was the daughter of Staphylus and Chrysothemis, and sister of Parthenos and Rhoeo. To escape the wrath of their father, Molpadia and Parthenos jumped into the sea but were rescued by Apollo and (through apotheosis) made into goddesses. Molpadia was henceforth known as Hemithea.
