Pu-aka
"In a heap." A stellar deity, father of Ariki by Taku-rua. When Pu-aka twinkles and flashes its rays towards the north, it is an omen of a fine year; when it twinkles and flashes its rays towards the south, it is an omen of a bad year of rain and wind.
