Rongo-ma-rae-roa

"Fame of the long forehead." Rongo-ma-rae-roa is mentioned as a god who caused war and its attendant evils. He and Tū-mata-uenga were the leaders of the host of the war spirits, which slew mankind. They killed the creatures Tāne had made on earth in revenge for having been thrown down from the heavens.
