Þrymgjöll

"Mighty crash." The gate to the hall of the giantess Menglöð and which shuts so fast as to trap those who attempt to use it. It was made by the three sons of Sólblindi.

Thrymgiöll it is called,

and Solblindi's

three sons constructed it:

a fetter fastens

every wayfarer,

who lifts it from its opening.
