Beyla

"Cow- or Bean-girl?", "Little bee?" One of the servants of the god Freyr. She is the wife of Byggvir. In the eddic poem Lokasenna she warns Loki that Hlórriði (Thor) is returning home and will silence him who insults the gods, whereupon Loki says to her:

Be silent, Beyla!
Thou art Byggvir's wife,
and with much evil mingled:
never came a greater monster
among the Æsir's sons.
Thou art a dirty strumpet.

Byggvir and Beyla are not mentioned elsewhere in the poems.
