Fjalarr

"Hider", "Deceiver." The name of a jötunn, found in the list of giants in the Nafnaþulur section attached to the Prose Edda. In the eddic poem Hávamál it is a synonym for the giant Suttungr, who is here referred to as "that cunning Fjalarr." In Hárbarðsljóð, it appears as another name for the giant Skrýmir.
